We were encouraged to use a picture we had taken as inspiration. Having been to the Van Gogh Museum the week prior, I decided to use this painting because it was my favorite piece I saw in the museum.

Process:

The original image, which I traced with glass powder.

The plan/ instructions I made for myself. The most difficult part was breathing-- if you breathed too close it could ruin the entire project as there was no way to keep the power in place prior to firing.

Finalized right before firing in the kiln. The main tools used were a paintbrush and pallet knife.
